Hey!! If you're reading this, we'd love to read a comment, or an email in return to let us know you're into it!! and how you're doing too!!! We miss you!
Brian and I have settled into a little campervan traveling groove. It's nice, feels like we're fine-tuning our traveling skills, making gourmet meals on our little camper stove, and just feeling comfortable here. Here's what we've seen that's really good: Fjordland & Milford Sound has to be the #1 place in the world to see theeee most waterfalls in one day - by far. Insane, with high steep mountain walls & more rain than almost anywhere, it's epic. After traversing through a very narrow old tunnel, we came upon this sheer cliff valley cove with a quarter mile or so of the tallest waterfalls we've ever seen, spaced at very close intervals & taking our breath away. We also happened to visit at the end of a severely rainy weekend, so they were gushing. Gorgeous. Also, Gemstone Beach. I don't think I need to describe it. Hmm. We cruised along the south coast & started northward along the east.. Dunedin and Christchurch are both beautiful old cities with classic Scottish architecture and lots of art. Mt. Cook & the bluest of turquoise blue lakes beside it, and Tasman Glacier with gigantic floating icebergs and wildflowers galore are one of my favorites ever. Attending some nice Iyengar yoga classes, we've renewed our practice, which has suffered alternately due to cold weather and sandflies, unfortunately, so it feels great to get back on track. We happened upon Diwali festivities yesterday in the central square of Christchurch, with lively and adorable dance performances, resulting in everyone breaking out into dance, and enjoying wonderful Indian food. And we've gradually become the most enthusiastic of rugby fans! Fast paced, action packed, it's so fun to watch. The past few weeks have held the Rugby League World Cup, and the final game was last night. It was the most exciting game I've seen in a long time, at a sportsbar with stadium seating and a moviescreen.. packed with folks for the final - and NZ winning against Australia was a major upset! Woohoo! Very exciting.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
