Our capoeira crew: such a wonderful group it is! The girls right before our batizado
Just recently, there has been an onslaught of batizado's in our small capoeira community, one after the other, which has been inspiring, but a bit much to keep up with! A batizado is a (typically) annual event that a capoeira group will organize, with workshops, demonstrations, mestres and profesors visiting from other groups, and it is when students will earn their cords, which signify their progress.
